Sail the Islands Is Here: Your Complete Guide to Islands of Adventure
It's live! Sail the Islands — the complete Islands of Adventure guide — just launched, and I could not be more excited to finally put this one in your hands.
If you've been waiting on this since Beyond the Gate came out, thank you for your patience. This one took a lot of digging, fact-checking, and honestly, a lot of love to get right.
What's Inside
Sail the Islands is a 43-page deep dive into every corner of Islands of Adventure — all 8 lands covered, from the roar of Jurassic Park to the whimsy of Seuss Landing to the wand-waving magic of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter.
Here's what you'll find:
• Ride-by-ride breakdowns — what to expect, height requirements, and how to plan your route so you're not zig-zagging across the park
• Up-to-date park info — including the latest on Hagrid's Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure (heads up: no Express Pass access as of July 1st)
• Accessibility details — DAP guidance, sensory notes, and service animal info so you can plan with confidence
• Real park knowledge — the kind of details you only pick up from actually living this park as a local and Annual Passholder
One important note: Jurassic Park River Adventure is currently closed for refurbishment and isn't expected back until late November 2026, so I made sure the guide reflects that instead of sending you on a wild goose chase for a ride that isn't running.
You'll also notice The Lost Continent looks different right now — Universal has confirmed the area is being redeveloped into a brand-new land, and demolition is already underway. Universal hasn't officially announced what's replacing it yet, so the guide reflects the area as it currently stands. Once the new land is revealed and open, everyone who purchases Sail the Islands now will receive a free updated version of the guide with full coverage of the new land — no need to repurchase.
Bundle It and Save
If you're planning a multi-park trip, you can grab Sail the Islands alongside Beyond the Gate as a bundle — both guides, one price, everything you need for Epic Universe and Islands of Adventure in your back pocket.
Why We Built This
I've spent countless hours walking Islands of Adventure as a local and passholder, notebook (okay, phone) in hand, cataloguing every detail so you don't have to. My goal has always been the same: skip lines, save time, plan smarter — and now that philosophy covers two parks instead of one.
Thank you for supporting this dream, one guide at a time. There's more coming — Universal Studios Florida is next on the roadmap — but for now, go grab Sail the Islands and start planning your best Islands of Adventure day yet.
